A local motorist this morning had to slow his vehicle to avoid hitting a small group of runners, Dumb Runner has learned—a brief inconvenience that sent him into a rage.

Tim Commerford, 41, encountered the runners while driving to work around 8:15 a.m., sources said, and almost immediately became visibly upset, screaming and clenching his fists.

“There were three runners on the side of the road, like, facing the traffic, and another car coming [Commerford’s] way in the other lane, so he had to slow way down for a bit, until they passed him,” the source said. “He was clearly not happy about it.”

Commerford expressed his anger by shouting at the runners and revving his car’s engine as he sped away before stopping about 50 feet later behind a line of cars at a red light.

The entire incident lasted “about three or four seconds,” the source said.

At last report, Commerford was honking at the car in front of him and yelling, “It’s green!”
