The American distance runner and Olympic silver medalist Galen Rupp is already regretting a tattoo he got just one week ago, Dumb Runner has learned.

The tattoo, on Rupp’s chest, features a rendering of Alberto Salazar’s smiling face with the text, “Alberto Forever.” Salazar, a former elite marathoner who has coached Rupp, Britain’s Mo Farah, and others, yesterday got a four-year ban for doping violations from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

“Shit,” Rupp reportedly said when he heard the news.

Rupp got the tattoo last weekend, sources said, and until he heard yesterday’s news was very happy with the work.

“I knew I should have gone with the Celtic cross,” said Rupp.

“Just… shit.”
