RFK Jr. Suggests Link Between Tylenol and Running

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the controversial U.S. Secretary of Health, yesterday suggested a link between acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, and running—remarks that left doctors and runners alike puzzled.

“The data is undeniable,” Kennedy said at a White House briefing, holding up a running shoe in one hand and a bottle of Tylenol in the other. “There is a clear link between running and Tylenol use.”

Kennedy slowly brought the shoe and the bottle together, demonstrating the connection for reporters. He then twisted the items together, slowly, while making “kissy” noises.

“Yet another demonstration of the reach of Big Pharma,” he added, speaking into the shoe as if it were a microphone. “This should alarm all of us, whether we’re runners or not.”

“Environmental toxins!” Kennedy shouted, before tossing the shoe aside. “Wow!”

Kennedy walked away without answering reporters’ shouted questions, which included, “Huh?”, “How is this news?”, and “Are you OK?”

The medical community reacted to the statement with bewilderment.

“It’s true that many athletes, including runners, occasionally use over-the-counter painkillers such as acetaminophen,” said Tom Bailey, M.D., a sports physician and avid runner himself. “But so what?”

Weighing in via a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump appeared to support Kennedy’s position, writing:

“Running, many people call it running. I call it Running. And the pills. So many. Tylenol, don’t take it. We’re poisoning our children, like we never have before. Nobody has seen anything like it. It’s very sad. Many are saying in Cuba they can’t afford Running, so no Tylenol. None. THINK ABOUT THAT!!! We are the hottest Country anywhere in the World and there is no other country even close. I ended seven Wars. Now they want to go to Sharia Law, but you're in a different Country, you can't do that. I'm really good at this stuff. Your countries are going to hell.”

The White House did not return several calls for clarification.
