Someone is in here, Dumb Runner has learned.
The announcement, which came just now at a portable toilet near a popular local running path, came as an approaching runner began to open the door to the toilet. Almost immediately, a voice from within declared that someone was in there.
“Someone’s in here!” the voice said.
The runner, who immediately apologized and shut the door, reportedly was led astray by the red/green indicator built into the toilet’s door handle. The indicator was green, according to several sources. Green represents “go,” experts said, while red implies “stop.”
It remains unclear why the person using the toilet hadn’t latched the door once inside, which would have secured the door while turning the color-coded indicator to red.
The occupant of the toilet, reached for comment, told Dumb Runner that someone was in there.
