Tasteful Running Outfit Goes Seamlessly From Workout to Coffeehouse to Sobbing in Coffeehouse Restroom Because Everything Is Falling Apart

A local woman’s running outfit is “cute, functional, and super versatile,” Dumb Runner has learned, being equally appropriate for a workout, an iced coffee afterward, or crying in a bathroom stall because the world is going crazy and you feel helpless to do anything about it.

The matching top and shorts, in a stylish cut and made of odor-resistant, sweat-wicking material, is made by Sitruuna, an “athleisure” brand based in Canada.

“It’s pricey, but super high-quality,” said Jamie Van Halen, 28, an avid runner and yoga enthusiast. “And it looks really tasteful, so I can wear it for a run and then go right into a Starbucks or wherever, and then, after I place my order, right into the restroom to sit on a toilet while I sob uncontrollably when I remember that everything is dark and cruel and awful and there’s no relief in sight.”

Also, Van Halen said, the shorts have two pockets, which she appreciates.

Reached for comment, a Sitruuna spokesperson said that the company prides itself on its gear’s versatility.

“Our apparel is designed 100% for today’s active woman, the kind of athlete who wants gear that works well but looks great, too,” said the spokesperson. “That means it transitions seamlessly from workout to coffeehouse.”

“And then, I guess, if you’re in the States, to wherever it is you go to face the living nightmare that is your daily existence.”

“Are you doing OK, by the way?”
