Beach Runner Regrets Eating That Thing She Found

A woman is having “serious regrets” after eating something she found while running on a local beach this morning, Dumb Runner has learned.
Stephanie Hillenburg, 31, said she was about two miles in to her run when she noticed the thing, which had washed up in the surf; picked it up; and popped it in her mouth. She still isn’t sure what, exactly, the thing was.
“It was small,” she said, “and crunchy. Salty, too.”
Hillenburg speculated that it might have been part of a crab, or crab shell. Whatever it was, she said, she soon realized she should have left it in the sand.
“That was a big mistake,” she said. “I am having serious regrets right about now.”
“Ohhhh….,” she added.
At last report, Hillenburg was eyeing something green that had washed up and wondering what it would taste like.
