Report: Intact Male Being Aggressive With Other Runners in Park

An unneutered male is causing trouble at a local park, Dumb Runner has learned, growling and snapping at fellow runners.
The runner, identified as Lawrence Stewart Talbot, 27, is a regular at the park, sources said, and is often unpleasant and aggressive.
“Every time I see this guy, I turn and go in the other direction,” said one fellow runner who, like the other sources for this story, spoke on the condition of anonymity. “He’s bad news, always picking fights.”
Another source, who occasionally runs in the park while pushing her young daughter in a jogging stroller, described Talbot as “scary” and said he shouldn’t be in a public park at all.
“He’s very territorial and sometimes, frankly, vicious,” she said. “Intact males just don’t belong in parks with other people.”
“One time,” she added, “he really got in my face and barked at me—something like, ‘watch where you’re going’—and I came this close to pepper-spraying him.”
The park requires pets to be on leashes and prohibits motorized vehicles on its paths, according to photos of signs at the park’s entrances, but does not explicitly bar unneutered men. Increasingly, many runners said, that seems like an oversight.
“My friend and I are starting a petition to get the city to keep intact males out,” said a runner who uses the park two or three times a week. “They’re just too unpredictable.”
Reached via a video call, Talbot bared his teeth at Dumb Runner.
