Jogging Couple Are Straight Out of a Prescription Drug Ad, Sources Say

A silver-haired couple at a local park look like they jogged right out of a pharmaceuticals ad, Dumb Runner has learned—and they show no signs of letting any ailment or chronic medical condition slow them down.
The couple, a man and woman, appeared to be in their late 60s or 70s, “but with the energy of folks at least 10 years younger,” according to a source who watched them traipse by, smiling broadly and looking at nothing in particular.
“Straight out of a prescription drug ad, like on TV,” said the source, who requested anonymity. “You could almost hear the voiceover, talking about the benefits of a drug with a lot of consonants in its name, and then talking much faster about the risks and possible side effects.”
“Presumably they’d just come from a medical appointment, where they asked their doctor if jogging was right for them.”
It was unclear whether the man and woman were married, the source said, though it was clear they were “close,” judging from the looks they kept giving each other.
“They definitely had a certain twinkle in their eyes,” the source said. “Whatever they were suffering from, they weren’t going to let it keep them from leading a rich, full, and active life.”
Multiple other sources reported seeing the same couple later in the day, riding bicycles along a boardwalk, sharing a dessert at a local cafe, and wearing cozy sweaters as they walked hand-in-hand on the beach, laughing.
