Bear Super Mellow After Ingesting 160-Pound Marijuana Edible

A large brown bear appeared “super mellow” on a local mountain trail yesterday after consuming a potent marijuana edible, Dumb Runner has learned.
The edible in question, weighing about 160 pounds and shaped like an ultra runner called Travis, contained an estimated 250 mg of THC. Travis reportedly had smoked marijuana about an hour before his run and was carrying a “medical cannabis” chocolate bar, containing 100mg of THC, in his hydration pack.
“I saw the whole thing,” one witness told Dumb Runner. “That was one chill bear. Like, super mellow. Just sitting back, staring at his paws.”
Other sources said the bear had no previous experience with cannabis, but had expressed interest in trying it out now that his cubs had grown up and left the den.
Another source said Travis had eaten two CBD gummies at the trailhead, yielding some unexpected benefits for the bear.
“From what I understand,” said the source, “bear dude had some serious hip pain, and this dose of CBD really seemed to help with that.”
Reached for comment, the bear suggested he was eager to try more marijuana edibles—after a long nap.
“Rrrrrrr,” he said. “Uff.”
