Please Support Dumb Runner (It's Easy)
If you're reading this, chances are good that you enjoy my work and you like what I'm trying to do with Dumb Runner.
Here's the thing, though: To keep it going, I need your help.
When I started Dumb Runner in November 2015, I wasn't sure how, or whether, it would ever make money. I knew I didn't want to have ads, because ads are ugly and intrusive. I also knew I didn't want to run "sponsored posts," because they are the online editorial equivalent of going out to dinner and finding a hair in your tiramisu.
What I did want was creative independence. Not just for my own sake, but for my readers. Because being independent means that I write to please one audience and one audience alone: You.
It also means I don't need to do obnoxious things to goose page views, like use clickbait on Facebook or Twitter. Or concoct slide shows that force you to click a dozen times to read something that could, and should, be on a single page.
Sounds great, right? And it is. Except for one thing. Namely, how to pay my bills every month—for web hosting, shipping services, stock photo purchases, and so on.
I really want Dumb Runner to be sustainable and ad-free. That cannot happen without you.
Here's How You Can Help...
Click this button to visit my Patreon page and make a monthly pledge, of any amount:
And that's it.
Patreon is a digital company whose mission is "to help every creator in the world achieve sustainable income." It's pretty nifty.
It's simple, too—you enter your info once, choose a level of support that works for you, and you're done. Your credit card will be charged that amount each month, like a bill on auto-pay. Except you choose how much you want to pay. Even if it's just a buck.
(I do have some incentives, at various pledge levels, to entice you. For details, click through to my Patreon page and look under "Rewards.")
If you'd prefer to make a one-time donation, you can do so via PayPal. Just click the Donate button below. (This will take you to the PayPal page for Laurelhurst Media, my LLC.)
Thank you. With your help, Dumb Runner will be around for years to come.
