A supplier of portable toilets is inaptly named, a local runner discovered recently.

“Man, that is a real misnomer,” said Alan Milne, 22, exiting a Honey Bucket brand toilet at Winne-Depew State Park. “Wow.”

Milne, who had paused a 10-mile run for the bathroom break, confessed that he doesn’t have a lot of experience using portable toilets and therefore was unfamiliar with the Honey Bucket name.

“I walked up thinking, Huh, Honey Bucket—that sounds nice,” said Milne. “Then I walked inside. Believe me, there was nothing sweet about it.”

Milne wondered whether the name was a joke of some sort.

“I mean, (the name) is just wildly misleading,” he said. “I can understand a toilet rental place not wanting to name itself Shit Bucket or something like that. But honey? Come on.”

As Milne spoke, a fellow runner approached the bank of toilets, entered one, and locked the door.

“Oh my God,” she said.
