Runners will soon have a new Olympic event to follow, Dumb Runner has learned—the Crazy-Ass 60-Hour Race Through Woods Started by Guy With Cigarette.

The Crazy-Ass 60-Hour Race Through Woods Started by Guy With Cigarette will debut at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, according to a statement from the International Olympic Committee, joining such classic track and field events as the 400 meters, the 10,000 meters, and the marathon. The IOC described the event as “a crazy-ass 60-hour race through the woods started by a guy with a cigarette.”

It is believed to be the first Olympic event ever to include tobacco.

“We look forward to adding to the excitement of the 2028 Games with this new and uniquely challenging event,” the statement said. “We’re sure the Crazy-Ass 60-Hour Race Through Woods Started by Guy With Cigarette will quickly become a cherished part of the Olympic tradition.”

It is not uncommon for Olympic events to come and go. Some sports from past Games, such as baseball, softball, and karate, will not be part of the Paris Games this summer, while other sports, such as break dancing, will make their first appearance.

The Crazy-Ass 60-Hour Race Through Woods Started by Guy With Cigarette is expected to draw “a relatively small field of competitors, but an intense one,” the IOC said.

“It should make for great viewing.”
