Local Dog’s Race Photos Way Better Than Yours

A local dog’s recent race photos are better than yours, Dumb Runner has learned, and it’s not even close.

The event in question, a dog-friendly trail race in Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, took place last weekend; the dog, a six-year-old male of an undetermined breed named Mr. Peabody, ran the race with his owner, Sherman Tetley.

Every step of the way, according to several sources, Mr. Peabody appeared fresh, happy, and energetic. Tetley, like virtually every other human runner in the event, did not.

The official race photos captured this contrast.

“In every single one, Mr. Peabody looks great,” said one source, who also ran the race. “You would swear he’s a dog model or something.”

Other sources agreed, using words like “relaxed,” “handsome,” and “the picture of grace.” These same sources, describing their own race photos, called them things like “weird,” “cringey,” and “awful.”

“I guarantee you that this dog’s race photos are better than yours,” another source said. “Like, by a lot.”

Reached by phone, Tetley confirmed that Mr. Peabody is a photogenic dog and a tireless runner.

“He’s a good boy,” Tetley said. “And he certainly does look great in these photos.”

Mr. Peabody, curled up on the floor nearby, had no comment.
